Quarter of Landlords Suffer Covid Losses NRLA
Nearly a quarter – 23% – of landlords report having faced income losses because of Covid. In a survey of over 1,000 landlords conducted by YouGov on behalf of the NRLA, 54% of those who had suffered losses say they had lost up to a fifth of their income and 5% said they had lost more than half of it. The survey also reveals that 36% of those who lost money plan to exit the market, either totally or partially.

Leaseholders no Longer have to pay £4bn to Fix Unsafe Cladding
Owners of mid-rise flats with dangerous cladding will no longer have to pay to have it removed from their homes. The costs will now be passed on to developers and cladding manufacturers, according to the housing secretary, Michale Grove, who has demanded cladding and insulation manufacturers pay to fix unsafe buildings – or face being banned from the country.
