As interest rates increase, many of our clients seek to lock in low rates whilst they’re still available. And one of the questions we get asked often is:

How long does a remortgage take?
Ordinarily, the remortgaging process can take anything from 3 to 8 weeks after application, however, we’ve worked hard to build long-term relationships with lenders and improve our own internal processes to support quicker turnarounds. 

This was evidenced in a recent residential remortgage where we were able to submit the application and receive the actual mortgage offer in under 2 hours.

In this particular case, the client required a low loan to value, because of this, the lender was able to conduct a desktop valuation, approve documents and issue the mortgage offer all on the same day. 

Although we cannot guarantee a same-day turnaround for every applicant, we do encourage you to get in touch with our team who can discuss the options available to you and provide you with a good idea on timescales.
